Deep Roots in Area G

Area G is my home. I grew up connected to Thetis Island and have lived in Saltair for many years. It is where my parents continue to live, where I run my business and where my wife and I are raising our three children.

First elected in 2022, I represent Saltair, Thetis Island, Penelakut Island and Ruxton Island on the CVRD Board. The communities share important interests, but each also has distinct needs. Effective representation means showing up, learning those differences and making sure they are understood at the Board table.

My Approach to Public Service

  • Integrity and accountability: Do what you say, explain what you do and take responsibility for the result.
  • Listening before acting: Public engagement should help shape policy, not merely justify decisions already made.
  • Respectful but assertive representation: Build productive relationships while speaking firmly when Area G’s interests are overlooked.
  • Practical problem-solving: Focus on achievable solutions, measurable results and continuous improvement.
  • Courage and transparency: Make difficult decisions openly and explain the reasoning behind each vote.
  • A connected community: Treat Saltair, Thetis, Penelakut and Ruxton fairly while respecting what makes each community distinct.

Professional Experience

I am the owner of Alter Ego Marketing, a full-service digital marketing agency serving businesses and organizations across Canada. Running a business has taught me to establish clear priorities, assemble capable teams, measure results and take responsibility when something is not working.

I bring that same disciplined approach to public service. Government is different from business, but residents still deserve clear objectives, honest reporting, responsible use of resources and a willingness to improve.
