Area G is one electoral area, but it is not one uniform community. Fair representation begins by recognizing distinct needs.

Saltair BC

  • Complete long-term water security, filtration and Stocking Lake Dam work.
  • Continue improving Saltair Centennial Park, recreation and community facilities.
  • Advocate for road safety, drainage, pedestrian connections and responsible growth.
  • Protect rural character while allowing practical housing and property options.

Thetis Island BC

  • Protect and maintain the community dock as essential infrastructure.
  • Support emergency access, evacuation planning and realistic island service delivery.
  • Continue direct engagement with island residents and community organizations.
  • Advocate for fair recognition of island costs and transportation limitations.

Penelakut Island BC

  • Support reliable dock and marine access as a lifeline for residents.
  • Strengthen the working relationship with Penelakut Tribe through respectful, practical collaboration.
  • Support emergency preparedness and infrastructure partnerships.
  • Ensure decisions affecting Penelakut are shaped through direct engagement, not assumptions.

Ruxton Island BC

  • Advocate for provincial attention to road conditions and safe access.
  • Support emergency preparedness and communication suited to a remote island community.
  • Maintain direct dialogue with residents and the Ruxton Island Property Owners Association.
  • Ensure Ruxton’s needs remain visible in regional decision-making.

Across all four communities, residents deserve responsive representation, responsible taxation, safe and reliable infrastructure, meaningful public consultation and clear explanations of decisions.
